PINATUBO STRIKES AGAIN

The CO2 reduction in Hawaii caused by the eruption of Mount Pi-natubo is shown from J. L. Sarmiento, Nature, Vol. 65, p 697 (1993). The values are normalized to remove the usual upward trend of about 1.5% per year. See also December 1993 Access to Energy.
