BEYOND THE LIMIT

Sir:

The Voice of America has been subscribing to our newsletter and is just due for renewal. We are, however, deleting it from our subscription list.

In your continued obsequious policy of promoting "detente" by censoring the news broadcast to the serfs of the Soviet Empire, you have now stooped so low as to prohibit the Voice of America from broadcasting excerpts of Solzhenitsyn's Gulag Archipelago.

Our newsletter is available to everybody within the limits of decency, and somewhat beyond. It is available to prostitutes, pimps, con artists and politicians.

It is not available to an organization that uses taxpayers' money to render the work of Soviet jamming stations unnecessary.
