How to calculate the cost of electricity by Dr I.A. Forbes is a short (9 pp.), simple, revealing and useful aid for testing the economic muscle of nuclear power. $1.60 from ERG, 1661 Worcester Rd., Framingham, MA 01701.
Congress passed the Price-Anderson extension (see AtE Jan.76, but the funny-looking figure claims paid so far by private insurance - should have been $400,000).
The main tactic of the anti-nuclear crowd is to make 10 second statements that it takes half-hour lectures to refute. We borrowed the tactic in a flyer advertising this newsletter. It's headline reads Ralph Nader is radioactive and it makes some other provocative statements. The full explanation comes with a subscription to Access.
