Neither down nor out: The 11 new construction permits issued by the NRC in the first half of this year are a six month record; there are now 89 reactor projects in the construction phase, more than ever before.

Unsafe, unreliable, uneconomic, unnecessary: Nuclear power supplied 75.6% of Northeast Utilities' electricity during May, with all of its 6 units working near capacity; at near half the oilfired cost in the northeast.
