Access to Energy

GOOD READING

1) Delightful, informative, entertaining: The Energy Coloring Book by J.W. ("The Incredible Bread Machine") Grant. Very fortunately, we are told there is more to come: The title page informs us that this is merely an essay from a larger work, to be published later, "How to keep from screaming while everything's going to hell." Great! $3.95 from Quandary House, Box 773, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.

2) And while on the subject of humor: A "Chicken Little Club" has recently been formed; its members are "so dedicated to the preservation of public health and safety as to give hysteria bad name..." More information from CLC, Box 174, Cardin by the Sea, CA 92007.

3) Reports of the pro-nuclear rally at Rocky Flats, Colorado, 8/26/79, with 15,700 participants (actual ticket count!) would have made good reading¾but the national media censored them. However, the sponsoring organization (Citizens for Energy and Freedom) remains and will continue its work; and the politicians are still gaping in wide-eyed wonder.

4) The Non-Problem of Nuclear Wastes has been selling faster than any other Different Drummer booklet in its first month. $2 ($1.50 for current AtE subscribers) from Golem Press, Box 1342, Boulder, CO 80306. The essay mentioned in our editorial comes enclosed with it!
