Access to Energy

GOOD READING

1) Broken Seals, 110pp., is not about energy, but brings outstanding information on some organizations (Inst. f. Policy Studies, Amer. Friends Service Comm.) and individuals (D. Ellsberg, M. Halperin) who are rabidly antinuclear¾though only incidentally. $4 from Western Goals, 309-A Cameron St., Alexandria, VA 22314.

2) Domestic Oil¾The Hidden Solution by M.R. Copulos, 44pp., $2 from the Heritage Foundation, 513 C St. N.E., Washington, DC 20002, is a very good survey, as studies by this author usually are.

3) Paper Heroes, 163pp., $4.95, Doubleday & Co., is a review of "Appropriate Technology" by W. Rybczynski, a disappointed ex-convert who has seen some (but not all) flaws of AT. Contains some interesting photos, such as the meeting of two intellects in the White House: E.F. Schumacher and J.E. Carter.
