Access to Energy

ENERGY SCRIBBLINGS

"Access to Energy" Is a four-page newsletter published by... I have mentioned this newsletter and the professor before. He is radically pro-science, pro-technology and pro. free enterprise. He is also very anti-environmental. [Oh, no! See editorial. P.B.] Nevertheless, his publication is usually technically accurate, though he often, if not always, emotionally blasts environmentalists...

I don't believe for a minute that environmentalists in general are totally innocent of his charges. I think the movement to protect the human environment has been hurt by radicals within it. For instance, the radically antinuclear persons who refuse to look at scientific fact concerning the relative safety of energy sources have hurt the movement a great deal. We must, as National Audubon claims to be trying to do, base our allegations, stands and arguments on sound scientific fact, not imagination, speculation and emotion...

Professor Beckmann will raise your hackles, for sure. The above ramblings are but an example. But if we are to be objective in our judgements, then we would do well to read at least some of the other side, even radical stuff... For the reasons, I "recommend" Access to Energy, Box 2298... Got someone to share the costs. I'm in a pool with eight others.
