It is prefaced by Edward Teller, who says: "The message that the book carries is ... not only obvious and interesting, but convincing for anyone whose mind leaves at least a crack open through which new and correct ideas may enter."
2.) The Regulation of Gas: Policy and Politics 1938 - 1978 by M. Elizabeth Sanders ($18.95, -- Temple University Press, Philadelphia, PA 19122) is a scholarly, but readable work caving a detailed background to this subject
¾by now one of the disappointments of the Reagan administration.3.) Facts About Tomorrow's Energy is a citizen's group led by David Beatty, which publishes an excellent bimonthly newsletter and is worthy of support. Membership (includes newsletter) $10/year; Box 1246, Shawnee Mission, KS 66222.
4.) "The Biological Effects of Low-Level Ionizing Radiation" by A.C. Upton, Scientif. Amer., Feb. 82. The table on perceived vs. statistically observed risks is available from us (Are you being duped?) together with the quotes mentioned below.
5.) "Fop... Birder..." by Gary ("Doonesbury") Trudeau; and "Is Nature too good to us?" by W. Tucker, Harpers, Feb. 82.
