This is what a 20 MW solar plant would do to the Swiss Alps. The tower is 330 ft high, and there would be 2,000 mirrors of 540 sq.ft each. The equivalent of a 1,000 MW coal-fired or nuclear unit would need 50 such improvements of the Alpine environment; as they say in the Sierra Club, Solar employs, nuclear destroys!
