1) The Deregulation of Natural Gas, ed. by E.J.Mitchell, 163 pp., $7.95 from American Enterprise Inst., 1150 17th St. N.W., Washington, DC 20036, contains the proceedings of a conference in March 1982, but is interesting mainly for professional economists specializing in this topic.
2) US Department of Energy Comments on the Paper Entitled "Bubble, Bubble, Toil and Trouble: Reprocessing Nuclear Spent Fuel" Report DoE/NE-0049, $11.50 from NTIS, Springfield, VA 22161, is a very instructive rebuttal of a comparatively obscure piece of antinuclear propaganda. (It is not very clear why this case was singled out for rebuttal, nor why this is not done more often.)
3) Understanding Radioactive Waste by Prof. Raymond L. Murray, $10 from Battelle Press, 505 King Ave, Columbus, OH 43201, is an excellent, easy to understand introduction to the subject and some allied ones (such as the Manhattan Project or the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier Enterprise). A good arsenal for combatting superstitions.
