1) R. Jastrow, "Reagan vs. the Scientists," Commentary, Jan. 84. Skip this one if you would rather have a little nuclear war instead. The real answer to the E&S scary tale. Don't miss Tom Bethell's "Liberalism, Stanford style" in same issue.
2) Silkwood: The Facts, free from Corp. Communic. Div. (R.P. Luke), Kerr-McGee Center, Oklahoma City, OK 73125. Tuckers Playboy piece on Silkwood is now also available from AIF, 7101 Wisconsin Ave, Bethesda, MD 20014 (without the center fold, though).
3) Excellent: "Why are we having a recession?"; six reprints by Eugene Guccione, editor of Coal Mining & Processing; available to AtE readers for stamped (37 cents), s.a. envel., from E. Guccione at his journal, 300 W. Adams St., Chicago, IL 60606.
4) The Wall St. J.'s discussion of European prices for gas via the Soviet pipeline (12/13/83, 1/12/84) is interesting and commendable, but misses a more important point: its construction by slave labor (details: ISHR, Box 2175, New York, NY 10163; contrib. welcome) and that Treasury Secretary Regan is very probably breaking the law by refusing to enforce a 1930 act on imports of goods made by slave labor. Details (and action!) from National Center for Public Policy Research, 214 Massachusetts Ave. NE/#580, Washington, DC 20002.
