THAT'S THE WAY

Among adults, the ones who get brainwashed are by and large those who deserve to be. It is something else to poison the trusting minds of children. The widespread school aid Weekly Reader brought a scare item on how winds from Chernobyl "carried dangerous radioactivity thousands of miles ...[and] poisoned rivers, lakes, grass and crops." And of course that "The reindeer meat is spoiled... And a way of life in Lapland will change."

Reader Wm. H. Rees of 3860 Helms Rd., Duluth, MN 55811 wrote them a very good letter, which is available from him for a SASE. Use your own words to write similar letters to schools that use the Weekly Reader and to your local paper. Letters to the editor are read by more readers than are editorials.
